Fees for Services

Typical Fees

Fees indicated on this site represent what John usually charges in a certain type of case. Your fees may be different, because the exact fee to be charged depends on the particular facts of your case. This chart is meant only to give an approximate idea of the fee you might be charged; it is not a guarantee of a particular fee for service in your case. The fees to be charged in your case will be clearly set out in a written contract for your review and consent once John has studied your case and before he begins work on your case.

Removal Proceedings
Fees for removal cases vary greatly, depending on the complexity of the legal issues involved in your case, the number of applications for relief that you need to file, the number of hearings scheduled in your case, the location of your hearings, and whether you are in immigration detention. Most cases require at least one ‘Master’ hearing, one application for ‘relief,’ and one ‘individual’ hearing. John charges separate fees for each required hearing, application, and written motion or brief filed in your case.

Fees Applicable Regardless of Location or Detention Status
Asylum Application in Court $3,000-$3,500+
Application for Cancellation of Removal:
» For Lawful Permanent Residents to Keep Their Greencards $2,500-$3,500
» For Others $3,500-$4,000
Motion to Terminate Proceedings or to Exclude Evidence $1,000-$2,000+
Other Written Motions or Briefs (unless part of application for ‘relief’) $500-$750
